El Ultrapack ya va por la versión 1.7. Estoy bajándomela, pero debo decir que tras leer los contenidos y el acuerdo de colaboración con el SAS, el Ultrapack tiene todos los visos de convertirse en el mejor modpack que existe, destronando al Unified Installer de AAA.

Josse's Weapons Mod (Selectable through JSGME, it is OFF by default)
Josse's weapons failure mod, selectable through JSGME. This add a more realistic malfunction parameter for Bombs, Torpedoes and Rockets. Bombs have a slightly chance of detonate prematurily when hit ground, or not detonate at all. The same for rockets. Torpedoes have a slight chance of become "dud". A lot more realistic than the 100% weapons accuracy we have now. It is OFF by default.

This is OFF by default, you can enable and disable it like other add-ons using JSGME.
This is a true innovation and it will extend IL2's life even longer.
This is the A version, so the players will have the opportunity to test it, explore it and evaluate it. It may
be the standard add-on for future on-line events.
What this does:-
Engine warm up sequence:-
Ensure that you have turned magnetoes on. Start engine and idle for several minutes until your engine gets up to temperature (about 50o C). If you do not do this, you will see an 'Underheat' warning and will suffer engine damage.
Advanced Engine Torque:-
Planes are effected a lot more realisticaly by engine Torque.
Neg G engine damage:-
Aircraft performing negative G manouvres over sustained periods will get an 'oilpressure' warning and then will start to suffer engine damage.
(although WWII aircraft often had pressurised fuel systems and injection, the same was not true for the oil systems.)
Advanced engine management does not directly change Olegs FM's. It creates an overlay in effect that implements the above features. We could add it permanently in the long run (which would be more efficient.) however this method gives us the opportunity to test and evaluate without permanent commitment.

Known Bugs of the 1.6 Version:
a) The BF-109 K14 has not been made compatible with All Holes Solved mod by HunInTheSun. As a result, the in-cockpit view is a bit corrupted. Its not fun to actually fly this aircraft. I've only included it for
compatibility so if a player chooses it you will be able to see it (and not get attacked by a "ghost-plane")
D) The Tiger Moth and the Hs-123 cannot get destroyed. The planes will cut-off and crash-down if get hit but you cannot ?die? or get an ?enemy aircraft destroyed?message because a central part of fuselage remains intact. It wll get fixed in a future add-on.
C) Wrong spawn-point in some DF servers using carrier-like runways. Will be fixed in the next version.

Creo que ya ha fue destronado, hace tiempo, cuando se pusieron en plan borde.El Ultrapack ya va por la versión 1.7. Estoy bajándomela, pero debo decir que tras leer los contenidos y el acuerdo de colaboración con el SAS, el Ultrapack tiene todos los visos de convertirse en el mejor modpack que existe, destronando al Unified Installer de AAA.
Gracias por tenernos informados y darnos alternativas, yo de momento voy a hacer una instalacion paralela y a probarlo.
P.D: ¿Existen incompatibilidad entre el U.I y el ultra pack?. ¿ Cuales son los pasos a seguir para su instalacion ?

Es muy simple. Te bajas el Ultrapack (UP) 1.7 de aquÃ: http://il2ultrapack.net46.net/index.php ... 308.0.html
Yo recomiendo hacerlo con Torrent porque es mucho más rápido.
Antes de instalar nada debes hacer una copia de tu actual IL-2 y moverlo a una nueva carpeta con el nombre que quieras. A continuación borras las carpetas Files y MODS. Totalmente. Sobre esta instalación es sobre la que ejecutas el UP 1.7 (le indicas la ruta y listo).
Luego sólo debes echarle un vistazo al readme para seleccionar unos pocos (pero esenciales) MODS ejecutando un pequeño programa que se llama JGSME.
Y a volar con excelente sonidos, aviones (inclusive algunos de nuestra GC como el Chato, el HS-123, el Bf-109B, etc).

En estos dÃas he dejado preparada una copia del IL2, con el Ultrapack. Pero no tengo muy claro lo de instalar los mods con el JSGME, ya que al instalar unos mods se "pisan archivos" con otros, asà que en principio la dejaré sin mod´s activado y copia preparada por si decidimos unificar criterios.

He comprobado que aunque muchas veces puedo conectar con el Ultrapck a servidores U.I. 1.1, en diversas ocasiones se producen graves errores como por ejemplo no ver algún avión o no ser visto tú por los demás, no ver luces de pista o que los demás te vean sin iluminar cuando lo estás, no ver correctamente algunos aeródromos, etc, etc.
Ambos modpacks no son 100% compatibles (mi experiencia). Sin embargo he comprobado que puedo volar la campaña de Stalingrado hosteada por Fresco con el UP. 1.7 sin problemas. Creo que los fallos se dan en mapas modificados con aviones modificados. Como la campaña la volamos con ficheros de la 4.09 sin nuevos mapas ni aviones, no genera problemas al UP. 1.7.

Hades ya ha afirmado que el UP. 1.8 está muy avanzado y que incluirá todo el contenido de la 4.09m.
