The aircraft was designed for transportation of senior officers of the Red Army and the Soviet leadership over long distances. With the aircraft was shot all the weapons, and the place the bomb bay and fuselage tanks equipped passenger cabin increased comfort nine seats plus space for a steward. The crew of the aircraft to fly a particular purpose has been increased: it consisted of the commander, copilot, navigator, radio operator and two flight attendants.
Yer-2ON
(Russian: Osobogo Naznachyeniya–Special Assignment) Two aircraft from the Yer-2/ACh-30B production line were modified with a 12-seat VIP cabin, military equipment removed and long-range fuel tanks in the bomb-bay. A third aircraft was converted from a Yer-2 (1941 production) and used for shuttle flights between Irkutsk and Moscow.[17]
